Our toddler room is for children who are at least 12 months old, drinking from a sippy or open cup, and ready to eat table food from the school menu.
The classroom and playground are designed for age appropriate development. Children learn through stories, music, nursery rhymes, sensory activities and games. Fine and large motor skills, exploration, and language development are fostered. We strive to help children learn to participate in a social group setting as well as learn to recognize various objects, colors, shapes, letters and numbers. Children play outside daily, weather permitting.
Move up schedule: Children will move up to the next classroom after their second birthday and possibly as late as the end of the summer. Move ups are made when children are both developmentally ready and when space becomes available in a 2 year old class. Naptime pacifiers are not permitted in the next classroom and children must be drinking from an open cup.
